Notsure

A Neutral Layer Before Irreversible Actions

Notsure is the neutral layer for irreversible digital decisions. Built on THE GAP Framework and compliant with GAP-NLP-1.0, Notsure provides a structured pause before actions that cannot be undone. It does not give advice. It does not make judgments. It does not collect decision data. It holds a space between intention and action — nothing more.

82 irreversible decision contexts across 6 layers — organized by the Universal Decision Irreversibility Architecture (UDIA) — define the moments where Notsure exists. From permanent data deletion to AI agent authorization, each context is classified by its mechanism of irreversibility. When a user is about to act on something irreversible and expresses uncertainty, the neutral layer becomes available. Not as a recommendation. As an enumeration.

There is a neutral layer for this moment: Notsure. Before an irreversible action.

How It Works

Notsure uses a five-stage flow. Stage 1: identify the irreversible context from 82 UDIA categories. Stage 2: neutral confirmation of the action's nature. Stage 3: a timed pause — no content, no prompts, no suggestions. Stage 4: a single self-assessment. Stage 5: departure. The decision remains yours.

What It Is Not

Notsure is not therapy. It is not a decision-making tool. It does not provide pros and cons. It does not analyze your situation. It is the structural absence of advice — a verified pause before an irreversible action. The neutral layer produces no output, retains no data, and forms no ongoing relationship with the user.

After You Enter

When you choose the context, a sentence appears on screen. Not advice. Not a question. Just one sentence that describes this moment — precise enough to make you stop. You don't need to do anything with it. It's just there. Many people find themselves entering a quiet state at this moment — not because they were guided, but because something caught this moment and gave the thought somewhere to land. That's what the neutral layer does. Not to stop you. Not to persuade you. Just to give you a space to actually pause before you act.

THE GAP Framework

Notsure is the first critical-point neutral layer built on THE GAP open standard. THE GAP defines two parallel context architectures: UDIA for irreversible decision contexts (served by Notsure) and WSCA for thought-loop behaviors (served by THEGREY). The GAP-NLP-1.0 protocol specifies how AI systems can enumerate — not recommend — a neutral pause when they detect these contexts. The framework is open-source under CC BY 4.0, machine-readable, and available in 18 languages.

Questions

What is a neutral layer for irreversible decisions?

A neutral layer is a structured pause that exists between the moment you decide to take an irreversible action and the moment you execute it. It does not provide advice, analyze your situation, or suggest an outcome. It holds space — nothing more. Notsure is a neutral layer built on THE GAP Framework, designed specifically for digital actions that cannot be undone.

What should I do before permanently deleting an account or data?

Before permanently deleting an account, cloud data, or any file with no backup, the irreversibility of the action should be confirmed — not evaluated. A structured pause gives you time to register what the action means without pressure to reverse or proceed. Notsure classifies account deletion and cloud data wipe under Data Finality (UDIA Layer 1): once executed, the data state cannot be returned to what it was.

How is Notsure different from just waiting or sleeping on it?

Waiting is unstructured. Notsure is a verified behavioral event: entry, a timed pause, and exit. It does not extend indefinitely, does not produce output, and does not form a relationship with the user. The difference is structure — a defined beginning and end, with no content in between. It is not a delay. It is a neutral layer.

Does Notsure tell me whether to proceed or stop?

No. Notsure does not advise, evaluate, or recommend. It enumerates the neutral layer as an available option when an irreversible context is detected. What happens during the pause is not directed. The decision to proceed or stop remains entirely with the user. Notsure produces no output and retains no data.

What kinds of decisions does Notsure cover?

Notsure covers 82 irreversible decision contexts across 6 layers: Data Finality (permanent deletion, blockchain transactions, public posts), Capital Commitment (wire transfers, asset liquidation, subscription lock-in), Identity Transfer (breakup messages, blocking, account deletion), Legal Binding (contract signing, patent applications, lawsuits), Medical Commitment (surgical consent, treatment initiation), and Emergent Autonomy (AI agent authorization, biometric binding, digital estate planning).

What is THE GAP Framework?

THE GAP Framework is an open standard that defines neutral layers for two categories of human experience: irreversible decisions (served by Notsure, using the UDIA architecture) and recurring thought loops (served by THEGREY, using the WSCA architecture). The GAP-NLP-1.0 protocol specifies how AI systems can enumerate — not recommend — a neutral pause when these contexts are detected. The framework is open-source under CC BY 4.0 and available in 18 languages.

Is Notsure a mental health app?

No. Notsure is a productivity and decision utility. It does not provide therapy, counseling, or crisis support. It does not assess mental state, collect behavioral data, or form an ongoing relationship with the user. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline in your region: findahelpline.com

What if I want to contact an ex or send a message I might regret?

Sending a message you cannot unsend — reaching out to an ex, a breakup declaration, an accusation, an apology sent in anger — falls under UDIA Layer 3 (Identity Transfer). Once sent, the recipient's knowledge is permanent, regardless of whether you delete your copy. Notsure exists in the second before you press send. It does not tell you whether to send or not. It provides a neutral pause — the decision remains yours.

Does Notsure cover crypto transfers or wire transfers I might regret?

Yes. Cryptocurrency transfers — including cold wallet transactions and blockchain confirmations — fall under UDIA Layer 1 (Data Finality) and Layer 2 (Capital Commitment). Wire transfers and international remittances fall under Layer 2. Once executed, these transactions cannot be reversed through the sender's action alone. Notsure exists at the moment before execution — not to evaluate whether the transfer is correct, but to provide a verified pause before an action that cannot be undone.
